I have pleasure in offering a 5 week programme introducing the meditative practice of iRest Yoga Nidra.
What is iRest Yoga Nidra?
iRest Yoga Nidra is an evidence based transformative practice of deep relaxation and meditative inquiry that releases negative emotions and thought patterns, calms the nervous system, and develops an inner sanctuary of well-being and equanimity that underlies all circumstance you may encounter in your life.
Yoga Nidra itself is an ancient practice spanning thousands of years, in which we may enter profound states of relaxation yet we remain awake and present to each moment. iRest is a more contemporary teaching of Yoga Nidra. In this five week course we will be exploring aspects of the practice which include:
- Cultivating a place within where we may feel completely at ease.
- Exploring what we really wish for ourselves and our life.
- Tools for complete relaxation of the body and mind.
- Befriending and exploring easeful breathing.
- Experiencing spaciousness and our ground of being.
