To book, please head over to Neal’s Sacred Moves website here and book online – it only takes a moment 🙂

Come and experience the beauty of Restorative yoga on Waiheke – the perfect place and time to wind down, rest and restore.

This 2½ hour relaxation class will include gentle movement, Restorative Yoga postures, breath awareness and Yoga Nidra Meditation (iRest®).

By relaxing deeply and consciously we allow tension to release, we allow our bodies to soften, for energy to flow. By re-connecting with our ‘natural’ relaxed self, as  Yoga teacher Judith Lasater says, we restore and renew our energy levels.

For more information, you can also contact Neal at or phone on 021 180 7867. >>

Greatest Friend Yoga opens it’s doors

Greatest Friend is a vintage store and budding community centre in the heart of Oneroa, excited to be opening ‘The Sacred Space’ ~ offering a full schedule of yoga, pilates, qi gong and meditation classes.

The Sacred Space is a ten-minute walk or two-minute drive from the ferry and has it’s own entrance behind the shop, with ample car parking available. The classes are timed to work for locals, commuters and school drop-offs, and give visitors to our beautiful island paradise an opportunity to experience the true spirit of Waiheke.

Bring your own mat if you have one, though we do have a range of mats and props available for you to use.

Classes are $20 booked ahead in-store, or $18 with a Waiheke residents card. Concession cards allow yogis to sample any and all of the classes, and are available for an investment of $180 for ten classes plus one free, which can be gifted to a friend or loved one!

The Greatest Friend Circular Economy membership option offers ten classes plus one free, as well as 15% off all vintage in-store valid for a year from date of purchase. Our first class will be a gentle introduction to Qi Gong with Sibylla followed by a guided meditation for inner alignment and will take place this Sunday the 12th from 6.30-8pm.

We hope to see you there!

In this mini-workshop we learn how to embody Going With The Flow.

Our body is literally close to 70% water. We can tap into the wisdom of our own fluid nature to guide us in how we move in Yoga.

We will explore how softening and relaxing our body create excellent conditions for fluid Yoga practice. With fluidity comes creative adaptability, and the possibility of moving with easeful breathing and a profound feeling of freedom.

All are welcome to this morning of rejuvenating, flowing Yoga, at the spacious Morra Hall, within very easy reach of the ferry and Oneroa, on stunning Waiheke Island.

If you have any questions please email Neal on or phone him on 021 180 7867.

Note: there is also an option to book for the afternoon BIG RELAX workshop ($10 discount if you attend both). Full details of The BIG RELAX here >>

Caroline was a resident of Waiheke for 17 years with where she taught regular community classes she is coming back to teach this wonderful empowering workshop and welcomes students past and new to join her in Waiheke.

About Caroline

Caroline Hailstone has over 20 years Yoga teaching experience she has can teach Hatha, Restorative, Flow, Pre-natal and Yin and contracts to studios as a Senior Teacher.

On a recent trip back to the UK Caroline immersed herself in studies on the endocrine system through this she has developed Wise Woman Yoga a Yoga Workshop for menopause and hormone balance which is what she now specialises in. Caroline teaches in Ponsonby and is looking forward to taking her workshops around the country. I have developed a wonderful Yoga Program for all women and I am excited to share my knowledge through Wise Woman Yoga Work Shops and help women better understand how to balance and connect with their hormonal system naturally.

My passion and dedication to the art and science of Yoga has led me on a wonderful journey of learning. As a teacher it is my goal to help students discover their own practice pathways through the foundation of well structured asana with the help of props for support and alignment this combined with a strong focus on breath connection is, I believe a solid foundation to overall health and wellbeing.

I look forward to sharing my teaching experience today, tomorrow and for many years to come.

Caroline and Waiheke

Caroline Hailstone has a longstanding love affair with Waiheke Island having moved there from the UK in 1991. Caroline established the first Beauty Therapy clinic on the island, “Beauty On The Beach”.

She then went on to teach regular community Yoga classes in Surfdale, Ostend and Oneroa. Since then she has moved to Auckland where she created Wise Woman Yoga which is a unique Yoga workshop designed to help women experiencing menopause and peri-menopause symptoms.

Because of my connection with Waiheke I want to share this Yoga experience with the local community and help guide women through the physical, spiritual and emotional journey of midlife.
